Originally from Indiana, he completed his undergraduate studies with double degrees in Biochemistry and Spanish, graduating magna cum laude at the age of twenty. Dr. Kian matriculated into Indiana University School of Medicine. He graduated with highest possible honors with subsequent induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society, a distinction reserved for the top 10% of medical students in the country.
Dr. Kian completed his five-year surgery residency at the University of Florida, trained in otolaryngology (ear, nose and throat)-head and neck surgery. He performed over 2000 procedures during his term. During his residency, Dr. Karimi was recognized with numerous awards. He was selected on three separate occasions as Resident Teacher of the Year, by both the University of Florida College of Medicine and by the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Kian is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery—a member of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS).

Dr. Kian served as the team plastic surgeon for nine seasons and is a proud Stanley Cup Champion.
Following his training, Dr. Kian was selected from nearly 40 applicants to complete a highly coveted fellowship program in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery with Dr. Peter Adamson, who formerly served as President of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS).
This fellowship, recognized by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ABFPRS), provided extensive training in rhinoplasty, revision rhinoplasty, and rejuvenation of the aging face through surgical and non-surgical means.
Dr. Kian’s efforts were recognized by the Kris Conrad Merit Award in Facial Plastic Surgery, awarded to one individual per year who demonstrates “outstanding achievements in the field of research, perseverance in attaining the highest level of expertise in the performance of Facial Plastic Surgery”.
Dr. Kian received his board certification in facial plastic surgery by the ABFPRS.
Dr. Kian is fluent in Spanish and Farsi. He enjoys traveling, physical fitness, playing piano, reading, cooking, and dancing.
